Update: Cases Against Wilcox, Stapley, Donahoe Dismissed
In the ongoing battle between the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, Andrew Thomas and Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Mary Rose Wilcox has scored a victory.

A judge dismissed the indictment against Supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox, who was accused of conflict of interest, perjury and false swearing. In Tuesday's ruling, Judge John Leonardo accused Thomas of attacking the Board of Supervisors to further his political career.

After Leonardo's ruling, Thomas filed to dismiss the cases against Supervisor Don Stapley and Judge Gary Donahoe.

On a side note, it's been a busy sweeps month at CBS 5 News and KPHO.com. I'm working on another round-up post to catch up on everything we've missed.

Ah the NEW FEDERAL INDICTMENTS of Arpaio and Thomas should be handed down soon...ahhhhhhhh

I am not surprised by this decision. Yet she is not out of the wood but she does not have to worry about Thomas or Arpiao. The Judge saw through all that he had before him and concluded it was just a wash by both Thomas and Arpiao. These two clowns think they can control people with threats of criminal charges etc... Now the Feds need to step up and indict both of them for misuse of power and retaliation. They both need to go and never allowed to run for any public office including the office of Dog Catcher. We don't have the office here in Arizona but in case we did include that office too for these two clowns.

What a corrupt system. Politicans and judges work together to scam the citizens. It is interesting there was no comment on her guilt or innocence. Just the "thoughts" or "intentions" of the prosecutor. I wish all defends could use that excuse. The shady Wilcox gets off again. I hope the voters see through all this and remove her from office.

Did you happen to READ the 8 page order of the judge? He stated that the prosecution was vindictive in nature and that Candy and Joke 'abused' the powers of their offices in the prosecutions. He also clearly stated that the Maricopa County Attorney's Office in it's entirety could have no further involvement in the prosecution of Wilcox.

Doesn't that say more about the shady Candy Andy than the shady Wilcox?

This article has not been updated to include that Candy Andy tossed the indictments against Don Stapley and Judge Donahoe as well. While I'm sure it is a manuever to re-prosecute, at least he got the message that he is "off the case" as far as prosecuting anything personally within the Maricopa County political and judicial system. Loved the fact (yes, FACT, to all you Joe-lovers) that the judge used the terms "abuse of power" and "vindictive prosecutions" in his order, and yes, he did say Joe was abusing his powers.

I know. Henderschott says it's a conspiracy against Joe.

Henderschott is only worried about losing his double-dipping county paid income to pay off his grocery bill.

There is no conspiracy. It's simply a matter of a few dumb guys working together to try to convince us that everyone else is wrong and these morons are right.

I posted this in the old thread- but would like an answer:

Hi Mark,

Can you tell me where you got this: "The 1.2 million was sent by thousands, none of which said it was for his immigration stands." How did you find out what each of these "thousands" said they had contributed-for?

I do not know who posted the above insult, funny though it may be, it is out of harmony with your efforts to be civil- at least to Liz.

I hope she posts more videos for you. Joe is and has been doing this to himself. I've seen most of that stuff. It's been going on a long time. Liz seems to have a noteboook, or her memory is much better than mine!!! That's a compliment.

I have never said that Joe Arpaio never did anything good. I don't believe that to be so. I am concerned with his abuses of power and of people (for which he's paid large settlements with your tax dollars).

"What a corrupt system." Yup- that's what people have been saying about Arpaio's MCSO for a very long time. His jig is almost up. Wait 'til he is gone from office (one way or the other)- Arpaio's successor is going to have his work cut out for him investigating his own agency. You think things smell bad now? Hold your nose!

Thank goodness there well be special prosecutors to continue these cases. The judge did not provide any evidence for his opinion just his words. What exactly did Young do that would lead to this decision. Facts not feelings. Was Wilcox upset, poor old thing. I hope shady Wilcox goes to jail at the end of all this. She is such a user and bad role model.

I doubt she will end up in jail. Any new judge will rule that charge are still based upon Joe's abuse of power. This leads directly to the bigger question of whether or not Apraio is going to be indicted for abuse of power by the feds. My gut tells be YES. I can't wait to see the expression on his face when that happens! A kodak moment for sure!

Maybe Wilcox is guilty- I have no insight into that, but when law enforcement (which has a crucial role in making a criminal case) and/or the prosecutor blow it, guilt makes no difference. I don't know the facts, and thanks to Arpaio's incompetence we might never know one way or the other.

The Sheriff is supposed to enforce the laws (all of them), not pursue its own agenda. The people of Maricopa County are not being well served despite all of the MCSO press releases and PR to the contrary.

Arpaio only attacks the media when their office is being scrutinized. But they scrutinize others (without meeting their legal standard of probable cause) with what they consider impunity- until now. And when the media covers that- there's never a complaint about the media's bias coming from his direction.

It's time to face the music. Pity the poor taxpayers who are getting substandard law enforcement so Joe can feed his bottomless ego. He has admitted destroying evidence that would hurt his persona with the CA office being complicit in his malfeasance.

I do not understand what part of illegal people do not understand?
Felons are getting into this country to commit crimes because there is more money here. If they are an illegal immigrant then Arpaio is doing his job catching criminals.

"I do not understand what part of illegal people do not understand?" That's because people understand "illegal". They also understand that some Arpaio supporters keep trying to change the subject. This is about the 14 thousandth time this has been posted, or a variation of it. It didn't fool anyone the first time, and it still isn't. Nevertheless some don't have a shred of originality and will continue to try this straw man tactic. It's obvious that your ability to understand is well below that of the average reader here. That's why you don't understand. It's been explained in many ways, but you still don't get it.

Arpaio's problems are his own doing and he will pay for them, just as you would want someone who enters the country illegally to pay for that crime. We all know it's a crime to enter illegally. Is that simple enough for you to understand? There are agencies that focus solely on that. MCSO has broader responsibilities many of which are being ignored and under resourced while he complains about his budget and wastes what he has, as evidenced by your post. That's one of the reasons that people are growing tired of Arpiao and his tactics.

You will really like the next Sheriff. I think you will feel foolish when Maricopa county has someone who places a higher priority on doing his/her entire job than on mugging for the cameras and promoting books he's supposedly co-authored, but never read. If you don't understand that- I don't know what can be done for you.

The sheriff and the county attorney are ridiculous they need to address the issues important to the county. Deal with the increase in robberies, deal with the unsecured warrants, and the other pressing criminal justice issues. All these revengeful self-serving gotcha games are a waste of the "people's time and precious tax dollars" they claim to be advocating for.

"Deal with the increase in robberies, deal with the unsecured warrants, and the other pressing criminal justice issues." What? You're concerned with something other than sending illegals home (which by law Arpaio cannot do, of course)? You must be for illegal immigration.

Now that we've gotten that old canard out of the way, saving some Arpaio slob a rambling, lengthy post- these are the issues of concern. A good Sheriff can walk and chew gum (simultaneously). So that doesn't mean immigration enforcement needs to suffer in order to accomplish these more important goals you enumerated in your post.

Crime is down by 18.9% in Maricopa County due to the Sheriff's efforts. Property crime in Phoenix is down 16.9% per Channel 15. Law enforcement is going a good job in spite of the illegal problem and the poor economy. The judge did not comment on Cox's guilt or innocence. We will have to go through the expense of a specail prosecutor but I guess that is the price to get rid of corruption.

For context here's an excerpt of his post time-stamped Feb 24th; 1:58AM

Hi Liz,
I looked at this news link you sent.
http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/bastard/2009/04/joe_arpaios_gendarmes_skewered.php

I would like to point out the facts in this article. First of all the title.
(“Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Anti-Immigration Martyr, Raised $1.2 Million in '09. Despite What He Claims, He Doesn't Need the Money”)

It is clear the reporter is implying, all the people who gave Joe money, did it for his stand on illegal immigration. Not a bad reason to contribute to Joe, but there is nothing in the report that remotely proves these words. The 1.2 million was sent by thousands, none of which said it was for his immigration stands. This is just one way the media deceives us.

Sorry I have taken so long to get back to you and for not leaving any comments lately.

That statement I made was in regards to the post Liz wanted me to see. I didn't get all the way through it in my last comment. She now has another video I want to watch. For now I will answer your question, then I will get back with what I think of the video Liz has.

The title of the article is;
“Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Anti-Immigration Martyr, Raised $1.2 Million in '09. Despite What He Claims, He Doesn't Need the Money”
The title is implying that all the people who send Joe money, did it for his immigration sweeps. Yet there is no proof what so ever to this title.

The article posted these words too.
“Indeed, Arpaio raked in $207,562 in donations of less than $25 each last year. That means something like 10,378 people bothered to send him $20 checks -- an average of 28 donations per day every day for the entire freakin' year.”

Again there is zero proof in any of this article, that proves all these people donated to Joe for his immigration sweeps, like the title implies. No I don’t have proof to what these 10,378 people who sent Joe a small check, all said as to why they are contributing to Joe. Neither does the writer of the article, who put the media spin in the article, and implies all contributors are because of immigration sweeps.

Joe is well known through out the world. Not just for his stance on immigration either. He is known as a tough sheriff on crime period. The people who send Joe money have many reasons to do so. Immigration is only one of the reasons, not the only reason as that article implies.

About this post

No, I don’t know if Joe’s actions is what lead Andrew Thomas to file the charges. I am betting that Joe was behind it though. Good, I am glad if Joe was the reason charges where filed against Supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox, even though these charges now have been dropped. I hate to say it but, innocent people are locked up everyday. Maybe she is innocent, but it would have been great to see a system member wrongfully convicted once, instead of just the majority. Isn’t Wilcox responsible for the wasted four hundred million dollars of tax money, on a new court house? Tax money that could hire more police and fire fighters, instead of them being laid off now. A problem that will directly hurt the majority. It is clear Wilcox isn‘t for the majorities interest, like Joe is. It is clear to me, why these charges were filed. To protect the interest of the majority. Maybe Thomas didn’t have the proper evidence to convict, it certainly isn’t the first time this has happened in many other counties other than ours. Maybe it is the first time this has happened against a corrupt city official though?
.
The judges reason for dropping the charges, I find a bit disturbing. These are the words of KPHO, “Judge John Leonardo accused Thomas of attacking the Board of Supervisors to further his political career.” Hmm, how could these actions further Andrew Thomas’s career? Can anyone explain the judge’s words to me? They don’t make any sense. They certainly don’t put any blame on Joe, as this blog has been implying. These are the words of KPHO again, “In the ongoing battle between the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, Andrew Thomas and Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Mary Rose Wilcox has scored a victory.” Hmm, the battle is still on going right? The battle has many facts to it, we are not hearing about by KPHO. We only got this blog, saying Joe somehow lost a great battle in this war between Wilcox and Joe. But in reality, this blog only has evidence against Andrew Thomas, not Joe as the twist certainly is trying to convince all of. From the comments I’ve seen, most have bought this twist, and find this new development as a great victory against Joe. I see this new development as a system ran judge allowing another system ran official, to walk. If Wilcox would have been just a majority member, she would be wearing pink underwear and socks.

I guess the video link I posted was in that article so it brought you to the article instead of the video. While that article is intersting (in that Joe has all that money that people contributed to his campaign fund that wasn't spent and there is no guaranty he will run again - what happens to all of those contributions? Also, the fact that some of his campaign funds were spent paying rent to his own real estate company for his campaign office rental seems pretty suspect. I think that one of the things he is accusing Stapley of is converting campaign funds to personal use. Of course, Stapley's campaign was for a private board, not a public office, so Joe coverting his campaign funds into personal rental income seems FAR more unethical.

But I will try to find a way to post a link to just the video I was trying to put up here.

Mark- I agree 100% that the article was biased against Joe. I don't like that anymore than I like Joe Arpaio and his shenanigans. The facts are damaging enough without the nasty prose inserted from the writer's viewpoint.

However, if you are going to hold them to a certain standard, don't you think it's fair if you are held to the same standard. I very much appreciate your more reasonable tone though we disagree on the issues. Also thanks for your very specific and respectful response to my direct question. It looks like the days of name calling are ending and productive (or at least relevant) discussion is replacing the acrimony. That is better for everyone- we agree.

I have another question- if Joe is found guilty (which is a long way off, but in my opinion will happen)- would you favor a Sheriff who is tough on immigration but who does a demonstrably better job of enforcing the other laws? I would like to see someone who keeps accurate records and doesn't try to get much publicity, except in emergencies like Amber Alerts. How do you feel about that?

In other words if the reports and investigations in the media showed that the new Sheriff was doing his/her whole job? And if as a result, we didn't have to take MCSO's word for their effectiveness where they are reportedly falling short now, and the people of the county could have confidence in law enforcement upholding the law under a new Sheriff- would you be for that?

I would say most people's minds& eyes have opened to know, the new corrupt gov. wants to do away with Joe even if the state elected him to let criminals here & for us to pay for them! The truth will come out, people will speak & vote. People don't like what capitol hills pushing, so we will see a more conservative, common sense way to handle illegals. California had problems for many years, it's funny when they went bankrupt, then they woke up wanting better laws not to support illegals to save money.

Remember who broke the Watergate scandal- it was the Washington Post. And that's just one example- there are many more modern ones. Iraq contractor and procurement, government discrimination, many congressmen exposed for bribery, and the list is quite long.

The government does not and has not run the media. BUT some media is biased toward one or the other party, and sometimes that is very subtle. But the suggestion that stories (other than those having to do with covert operations) are cleared by the government or are not published- is hogwash.

If anyone thinks otherwise- prove a single case when that happened that didn't involve bribery and even deeper wrongdoing! Even when it does have to do with a covert op involving national security- the government can only request cooperation. They usually, not always, get it in those cases.

Arpaio's press (whether favorable, gimmick, and unfavorable) is of his own doing. Arpaio has no one to blame but Joe Arpaio.

For those who keep throwing around the term "brainwashing" on both sides of the issue- I suggest you stop using the term, and do some research on what it means. It's not as easy as appearing on TV and issuing press releases. Real brainwashing (as commonly defined) requires a focused, protracted and determined effort.

What's happening here is manipulation of public opinion, mostly via propaganda.

Joseph Arpaio said "You know what it is? It's all this civil rights stuff... all that CRAP!" Do you want ANOTHER link to the video of your fallen hero saying that? He said that illegals get their corn from drop houses. Do you want THAT TOTALLY RIDICULOUS video?

Within the last couple of days an independent judge has ruled that Candy Andy's office had a conflict of interest in the case of Mary Rose Wilcox and that Sheriff Joe abused the powers of his office in the course of the investigation.

If you still THINK that you're position is righteous, let me know. I'll post more proof that you are WRONG.

Arpaio is making news in Taiwan- yes, Taiwan (for all the wrong reasons). Here's a link: http://www.etaiwannews.com/etn/news_content.php?id=1191231&lang=eng_news

And here are a few excerpts:

His soaring approval ratings dropped to 39 percent in one recent poll. Critics are emboldened by a federal grand jury that's examining abuse-of-power allegations against him and a second federal investigation that he says focuses on his immigration enforcement.

County Manager David Smith said sheriff's investigators went to the homes of 70 county and court staffers on nights and weekends last year in an attempt to intimidate.

Arpaio's message was clear, according to Smith: "We know where you live. We know where to find you. Do something we don't like, and you're at risk." Fear was behind a decision by county officials to sweep their offices for possible listening devices, at a cost of $14,000; no bugs were found.

Dozens of lawyers rallied outside a courthouse in late December to protest the criminal charges against Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Gary Donahoe. And a prosecutor from a neighboring county who took over an earlier case against one county supervisor eventually turned against Arpaio and Thomas, likening their actions to "totalitarianism."

Thomas said he wasn't worried about his allegiance to the sheriff. "The only thing I worry about is making sure I've done my utmost to do my job," the prosecutor said.

In the eyes of critics, Arpaio is a racist bully driven by a hunger for publicity who has helped manufacture criminal charges against people who crossed him politically. They say he treats powerless people harshly because it's popular with voters.

This is from an MCSO press release dated February 10, 2010 that the Maricopa County taxpayers funded:

HEADLINE: NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED IMMIGRATION EXPERT IMPRESSED WITH MARICOPA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES’ PROFESSIONALISM AND KNOWLEDGE

.... [press release continues] .....
Kobach was brought in by the Sheriff’s Office in order to utilize his expertise on a new program launched by Sheriff Arpaio Monday that will require all of the Sheriff’s sworn deputies to attend training in the enforcement of state and federal immigration laws.

* * * * * *

Now, does anyone honestly think that the substance of this release that the taxpayers funded (along with Kobach's expensive services) is not self-serving Arpaio PR spin?

Here's a little bit about Kris Kobach from Wikipedia:
He is the immediate past chairman of Kansas' Republican Party, and in the 2004 election, he ran and lost as a Republican Party candidate for Congress in the 3rd Congressional District of Kansas. In May 2009, he announced that he is a candidate for the Republican nomination for the Kansas Secretary of State

..... Wikipedia article continues:

The election brought Kobach some national attention, due to Kobach's stance against illegal immigration and contributions from U.S. Immigration Reform PAC, a group chaired by Mary Lou Tanton which has ties to white-supremacist groups. [5][7][8][9][10]

Kobach served as lead lawyer defending the city of Valley Park, Missouri in a federal appeals case filed on behalf of the city's ordinances, which had been struck down in state court, "barring illegal immigrants from renting housing" (which was later dropped) and sanctioning employers who hire illegal immigrants (which were maintained for the purposes of appeal). The ordinances on employers were upheld by a federal judge in Missouri, E. Richard Webber on January 31, 2008 [4][5]

He also assisted in a similar case, wherein, on February 7, 2008 "a federal judge in Arizona [Neil V. Wake] ruled against a lawsuit by construction contractors and immigrant organizations who sought to halt a state law that went into effect on Jan. 1 [2008] imposing severe penalties on employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants. [4][5]

He was on the losing side of a similar case in the city of Hazleton, Pennsylvania, whose ordinances were struck down by a federal judge in Pennsylvania; this case is also on appeal. [14] He is currently involved with a lawsuit involving a Dallas suburbs ordinance preventing landlord from renting to illegal immigrants. [4]

A portion of the funding for the immigration lawsuits Kobach is involved with have been sourced to Immigration Reform Law Institute, where he is currently Of Counsel. [4][5] [2]

* Kobach's controversy over ties with alleged hate group, Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR).[15] FAIR was accused of being a hate group through an investigation by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), in which they link FAIR to an infamous, racist eugenics foundation, in which it has accepted $1.2 million from (Eugenics is the idea of breeding better humans and discredited by its Nazi associations).[16] Kobach is listed as an attorney with the Immigration Reform Law Institute, the legal arm of FAIR, as its "national expert on constitutional law." Aside from doing legal work for FAIR, when Kobach was running for Congress in Kansas' 3rd District in 2003 and 2004, he took $10,000 from a FAIR-related political action committee, the U.S. Immigration Reform PAC, formerly FAIR PAC. [17]

* In December 2007, Kansas GOP Chair Kris Kobach sent an email boasting, "[T]o date, the Kansas GOP has identified and caged more voters in the last 11 months than the previous two years!"[18] Vote caging is an illegal trick to suppress minority voters (who tend to vote Democrat) by getting them knocked off the voter rolls if they fail to answer registered mail sent to homes they aren't living at (because they are, say, at college or at war.[19]

My point in exposing Kobach and what he is and who he is affiliated with, is to show how Arpaio is "saving tax dollars" and blowing his own horn with kudos from someone one his own payroll.

I suspect that at his age, Arpaio is giving himself a clean bill of health after his self-administered digital prostate exam! But is he charging the taxpayers for his extraordinary medical care too? Or is he claiming to save the taxpayer's money on his own care?

Don't shake his hand- he's at that age when he might forget to wash his finger thoroughly. He sure uses it enough!

I’m glad you seen the article was the opinion of the writer, more so than actual evidence against Joe. My comment stating none of the contributions for Joe were for Joe’s immigration stand. Isn’t a fact I had proof to. I have no idea why these thousands of people sent Joe the money for sure. I knew they are not all for what the article was claiming, starting with the title of the article. The reporters comments were no more accurate than mine. No, I shouldn’t of stooped to that reporters level, and state things I didn’t have proof of.

To Lawn order who asked this,

(I have another question- if Joe is found guilty (which is a long way off, but in my opinion will happen)- would you favor a Sheriff who is tough on immigration but who does a demonstrably better job of enforcing the other laws? I would like to see someone who keeps accurate records and doesn't try to get much publicity, except in emergencies like Amber Alerts. How do you feel about that?)

It is very clear, Joe won’t be our sheriff forever. He is in his seventies now and should want to retire someday. Yes I want a sheriff that will up hold the laws of AZ. One that keeps better records will get along better with the majority. As far as one that doesn’t reach the media, except on very important issues like an amber alert, I find that a bit of a let down to what we have with Joe. I don’t believe another sheriff would of made a huge deal of the wasted four hundred million on a new court house. The reason Joe is in Federal court.

When it comes to the illegal issue, we will never get another Joe. Some of Joe’s greatest haters are ones who believe illegals should have legal status in America. I think you understand that the Federal government’s rulers, love and want the modern day slaves, to be nothing more than a modern day slave. Joe has brought a lot of attention to this issue, by bucking the Federal governments orders to leave the illegals alone. Even if the next sheriff has strict policies when it comes to illegals, I don’t believe they will ever do what Joe has done public wise, for the illegal issue.

A lot of people may think I am prejudice to illegals. In reality, I know they are a victim of the system that runs this country, and supports the current Mexican government. The illegal issue has opened blind sheep eyes to the reality of the system that runs us and supports a poor Mexican majority. The Feds refer to Mexico as our best ally for one huge reason, profit to be made at Mexico’s and America’s majorities expense. Yes it is far time the majorities get what they disserve. Americans have the power of our constitution to change the lobbyist system. When enough eyes open to the truth about the system, we will get the change we need. Joe has brought a lot of attention to the lobbyist system that depends on modern day slaves. I will be forever grateful to Joe for that, even when he isn‘t our sheriff. The answer to your question, yes I want a good sheriff, but will be let down I’m afraid, by any replacement for Joe.

You also say that some of Joe's greatest haters believe that illegal immigrants should have legal status. Name some of them. I haven't seen that (and I am not going to try to put words in your mouth or anyone's). Show me some quotes from those you name.

I never hated Joe for his stance on illegal immigration. I have always disliked him because he abuses his power. The abuse of power stories have been around for at least a decade. The only reason they are talking about the cases now is because of who they involve. This time around he abused his power against government officials instead of just some poor average Joe he does not like. I am sure there are probably thousands of every day citizens he probably harassed. You don't like citizen A? Ask a just to pull his phone records to see if he does anything illegal etc....

Joe is no hero, he is a tyrant. America has no need for Tyrants in Government. The founding fathers knew this and wrote provisions into the original constitution to prevent it.

Until then all tyrants must be removed from power to protect our freedom.

What is the common sense of all his reality TV, and other publicity stunts? What we need is a law enforcement chief who respects the law, the whole law.

You can't blame the younger generation for the unacceptably long response times of MCSO- unacceptable even to them. You can't blame them for the large abuse payouts of taxpayer dollars and the 5x increase in the liability insurance deductible which further burdens the taxpayers. I could go on- but somebody is obviously confusing reality TV with reality.

(You also say that some of Joe's greatest haters believe that illegal immigrants should have legal status.)

When it comes to enforcing the law, Joe does his job as sheriff, the best any sheriff could do in this county, with the resources any sheriff will have here. Joe stating he is the toughest sheriff in the country, is one of the tactics Joe is forced into using, when it comes to fighting crime here. I know there are many who claim Joe doesn’t fight crime the best that can be done. I believe the opposite, that Joe is doing a better job than the next sheriff will be able to do. We have more crime going on here, than most want to believe or even can imagine. Yes we need more police for sure. Response times are long, not because our county officers are on donut breaks, but because they have more calls than they can answer in a quicker time frame.

I don’t know how many illegals Joe has arrested since he has been the sheriff. My point is, Joe has brought national attention to the system that wants the modern day slaves. Yes our government and our rich who use the modern day slaves, get richer from modern day slaves. Me being a part of the majority, I am sick and tired of paying for the modern day slaves while the government and slave masters get richer off the slaves. As far as naming anyone on here that is for illegals getting legal status, I don’t know any for sure, since most comments on here are anonymous or other screen names. However I do know many Hispanics here and even in other states, that heard of Joe. Yes, some Hispanic people I know are even here illegally. Many of these people hate Joe, for arresting the modern day slaves for simply being here illegally. Yes I explained to them, until the majority understands the problem and why we have modern day slaves everywhere in America, the situation will never change. Right now we have people working for peanuts and other people getting rich from modern day slaves while other people (the majority) have to support the slaves. No our government does not want to give illegals legal status, like many here feel is the only right thing to do. The same ones who are in favor of illegals becoming legal, hate Joe. In reality, they should love Joe for the national attention Joe has brought to the illegal situation. A situation that will only change when the majority says so. For sure it is time for the majority to say so. Thanks to Joe, the majority is closer than ever to saying so. Joe has opened many blind sheep eyes to the reality of the system that loves the modern day slaves.

In the spot light again,

Many feel Joe is to small of a potato to ever be know nationally and be on TV all the time.. Some feel it is not Joes place as our sheriff to be known nationally. In reality, yes Joe is well known and yes it is Joe’s place to steel the spot light any chance he gets. Why?
Arizona is a boarder state. This valley is a hub to the rest of the states for Mexican imports. (slaves, meth, cocaine) Yes, Arizona has an obligation to America, when it comes to stopping these imports. Joe has shown America, that Arizona is doing the best job we can, when it comes to the American invasion by Mexico.

Joe knows we need to be doing ten times more about the invasion. Yes our military should be right here in Arizona fighting the invasion, but they are too busy fighting in the East. Joe has no choice but to do more than any other sheriff in the country, Joe has to arrest all from Mexico that are here breaking our laws, including the system loved modern day slaves. That is our duty as a border state for sure.

Yet many here hate Joe for being on national TV? Yes the slave masters too hate Joe, along with the Federal government and Mexico. Yes Joe is for the majority and yes Joe believes in the law. Oh you can bet, many want to buy Joe, like the Mexican importers. What do you think the chance of that happening is? Zero for sure! Joe goes out of his way to arrest the ones bringing the Mexican imports in. Joe sets up check points, with the intent to deport some illegals. Yes, the rest of America knows Joe is doing this. Yes the rest of America appreciates and expects this of Arizona.

Will we be able to say this about a new sheriff? Trust me, there are real corrupt tyrant sheriffs out there, that are bought by drug traffickers. Joe is far from one of them. Joe may be a tyrant to city officials, but he is a Robin Hood for both Mexico’s and America’s majorities.

Still, the majority is who really matters, not the few that run the majority thus far.
Change is coming thanks to Joe’s help. Thanks Joe, for being so popular in America.

Hi Mark,

The people who seem to want to see Arpaio out of office use excellent grammar and spell quite well. As you say- many are posting anonymously so we don't know exactly who they are.

You mention "modern day slaves" and "illegals" throughout your posts- but as I expected you didn't name a single person who has said that they hate Arpaio, nor did you quote anyone.

I haven't seen any posts from anyone who doesn't want the Sheriff to enforce the immigration laws. The response times of MCSO are high because Arpaio has diverted resources to other things, MCSO admits they need to get them way down.

You essentially admit that Maricopa County needs a better Sheriff: "We have more crime going on here, than most want to believe or even can imagine." That is a sweeping generality (do you have the figures?), but there are some published numbers to show that there's a problem, and from what can be gathered independently from MCSO it seems to be much worse in the areas that are served solely by MSCO that don't have large Hispanic populations. MCSO, you see, doesn't have accurate or complete figures. Why? For the same reason that Arpaio destroys evidence of his illegal "crime sweeps". He's already admitted so doing, and admitted that the information destroyed would harm his defense.

Mark, I hope that you will stop calling others blind sheep and look at facts other than the PR and propaganda Arpaio wants you to see.

Stating the obvious: It doesn't matter how hard you try. Even though some of Arpaio's supporters have become more civil in their discourse- they will see just what they want to see. However, their civility and respectfulness is quite welcome anyway.

You can point out any facts you want, even court records- they will rationalize their position. If you challenge their "facts", as I have countless times, they will refuse to provide specifics.

Once, for example, I asked for a list of "acceptable" media from which they get their facts. The reason given for not providing anything was that I would just find fault with it, which is a fallacious excuse to an educated person, but perfectly reasonable and logical in their eyes (and ironically they consider informed people "blind sheep"). They are buying Arpaio's PR propaganda hook, line, and sinker. Nothing else matters to them. One even told me in one of these threads that if Joe said it, it must be true! I should've been shocked, but I sort-of expected that kind of response.

I have pretty much stopped trying. The "trying" from here out will take place in court, and there- it doesn't matter what his verbose drones repeat.

March 1, 2010 at 3:29 PM
Anonymous Lawn Order said...

From KPHO, and in the court record: "Judge John Leonardo accused Thomas of attacking the Board of Supervisors to further his political career."..."Thomas filed to dismiss the cases against Supervisor Don Stapley and Judge Gary Donahoe."

Arpaio drones: Who filed to dismiss those cases? It was your idol, Andrew Thomas. Why? Figure it out- he knew the judge was right, and therefore he could not prove his case in court. He could've asked for a change of venue at the outset, but did not. He knew that no court would take his case seriously. It seems to me that the Maricopa Courts bent over backwards to avoid being accused by Thomas of some ulterior motive. Elsewhere I think this would've been kicked sooner and saved more taxpayer dollars, which as you Joe cheerleaders might not be aware are in short supply these days.

Here are a few excerpts from the COURT RECORD- the court used by Thomas in an attempt to further his ambitions. I have highlighted some of the more unseemly findings of the court:

Based on substantial evidence contained in the record, it is the finding of the court that the County Attorney has the following conflicts of interest between his duty to impartially exercise
his prosecutorid discretion and:
1) his efforts to retaliate against members of the MCBS, including defendant. for actions they allegedly carried out in concert with each other against his office and against him personally as alleged in the civil RICO complaint;
2) his attempts to gain political advantage by prosecuting those who oppose him politically, including Defendant [Mary Rose Wilcox];

CR-2010-005423-001
Page 5 Februarv 24,2010 OC-2010-005423-001
3) his political alliance with the Maricopa County Sheriff who misused the power of his office to target members of the MCBS for criminal investigation;
4) his duty to provide confidential, uncompromised legal advice to members of the MCBS, including Defendant, on matters forming the basis of charges in the indictment.

* * * * * * *

And this is the sort of law enforcement that some very vocal people here prefer? That which the court deems abusive?

Maybe instead of trying to get everyone you don't like to leave the county, you can pool your allowance money, buy an island, and form your own little dysfunctional country. After that you can make it legal to kill or imprison those you don't like (as the court found that your idols do) until there's nobody left in your utopia.

J.W Simms,

Don't worry. Your hero Joe will be out of office soon and you can still worship your hero William Luther Pierce while masturbating to your favorite novel the Turner diaries. That is your constitutional right. Just don't let all of that hatred die. Hatred like yours should cause amongst other things a lonely and pathetic life, as you will blame others for your problems, be they jews or blacks or mexicans, instead of facing your own failings and being an adult and fixing your problems. So in closing, remember to be as pathetic as Evolution will let a beta males like yourself be, and live the pathetic life you so deserve!

Simms: 2 + 2 = wrong conclusion. I (and you) assume that the web admins work normal daytime hours, and usually don't work weekends. I really have no idea of what their schedule is. However, I have taken note of when you post and when you don't.

If I had anything to do with these blogs other than just posting- believe me- you would not be able to post. Not because I disagree with your views, but because of the obscenities, hate speech and other filth you've posted previously. So there you have proof that I don't have any affiliation with KPHO, their websites, or any media for that matter.

However, it's a very telling demonstration of your ability to manufacture facts out of thin air. This somewhat explains your fervent support of Arpaio. It also explains some of the nonsense you have cited to account for that support. I conclude that you have a great number of conspiracy theories, and other delusions. However there's no way to prove anything to you or anyone who is so wedded to their delusional thinking.

To anonymous who posted this,

(Ignore Mark. Nobody is reading his long winded praises for the tyrant Joe Arpaio. Who has time to read the ravings of an insane person?)

I have only one thing to say to you. You can lead a blind sheep to the truth, but you can’t make them swallow it. Well, maybe two things. The system loves and depends on people like you.

To Lawn Order, in response to your questions and statements.

The bashers have perfect grammar you say. This proved what exactly? Then you say no one has ever said they hate Joe? Some anonymous comments have said far worse than that. Again I’m not sure what your point is.

This line you posted, I find VERY interesting. (The response times of MCSO are high because Arpaio has diverted resources to other things, MCSO admits they need to get them way down) “other things?” What exactly is that suppose to mean? What other things are you referring too? Please explain this broad no facts statement.

I never admitted Maricopa needs a better sheriff, I admitted we need to spend twice as much on law enforcement, until our Army will do something about the American invasion by Mexico. You are twisting facts.

These next words of yours, again are not facts (seems to be much worse in the areas that are served solely by MSCO that don't have large Hispanic populations. MCSO, you see, doesn't have accurate or complete figures.) You are implying that missing MCSO records are proof of what exactly? Bad police work? Are you saying the MCSO deputies don’t do their job? Because it seems to be much worse in the areas that are served solely by MSCO? Who is the one not stating facts here and twisting facts? None of what you said is proof of anything nor is it even close to half the story.

Then you say records for immigration sweeps are destroyed? Boo Woo, I really don’t see how that harms the majority, do you? Yet you feel it is a reason to call Joe bad? Look around, there is plenty of bad politicians out there without having to make one up, in an attempt to protect the system Joe bucks.

You still haven’t shown, nor has anyone else on here, that Joe isn’t for the majority. Joe is for the majority, and he is not for the system.

Wait till you or a family member become the next victim of murder, rape or robbery at the hands of an illegal; who you gonna call? Phoenix PD with double dipper Jack Harris? I'm willing to wager the families of the several recent child rape victims wish the three times deported crimminal was kept out of the U.S. But given that corporate greed and stalling by a corrupt Congress on Border enforcement, it will continue to happen over and over until the people wake up and demand an end to career politicians and their IOU's to special interests.

"Wait till you or a family member become the next victim of murder, rape or robbery at the hands of an illegal; who you gonna call?" You can only hope it's not MCSO- with their phony clearance rate boosted by "exceptional clearance". They have many unsolved rapes and murders. You are (obviously) going to call the law enforcement agency with jurisdiction.

Now, more to the point, your hatred of other races is showing: If you or a family member are a victim of such a heinous crime, the immigration status of the perpetrator is the last thing on your mind. You want the case solved (not exceptionally cleared), and the chances are overwhelming that the criminal who did it will be a citizen, and not an illegal immigrant. You can check that statistic, you know?

How pathetic can you get? just WHERE!! is the proof, your word? if it were possible to have something worth less than nothing! then we would have your word!! the only things you have proven here is the fact that you approve of criminal activity in the state of Arizona, you approve of censorship of those who do not approve of you! You approve of those who would destroy the only two elected officials in the entire county of Maricopa, that are willing to stand up and be counted in their efforts to protect the citizens of this county and this state, no matter the outcome affecting their political careers ( Joe Arpaio, Andrew Thomas ) in fact you!! Seem to approve of a great many things that many of the rest of us disapprove of. It seems to me that you!! Are the Top Hog feeding at somebody’s over flowing trough.

From KPHO's website:
State Probes MCSO Bank Accounts

POSTED: 8:19 am MST March 2, 2010
UPDATED: 9:38 am MST March 2, 2010

PHOENIX -- Some Maricopa County Sheriff Office bank accounts that are kept separate from normal county funds, are under investigation by the Arizona Attorney General's Office.

CBS 5 obtained bank account summaries that show withdrawals from as little as a few dollars to as much as several thousand dollars.

Records show money was paid to individuals, companies, a church and Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Unlike normal county bank accounts, these need no approval for expenditures outside the sheriff's office.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * *

You can read the story here: http://www.kpho.com/news/22714689/detail.html

This is very odd, and worthy of yet another investigation. Why does Arpaio run a law enforcement agency that needs to be investigated so much?

Hey lawn order,
I see you didn’t explain any of the statements you made, which I found serious problems with. Yet you insist upon me answering your silly question with no merit what so ever? It is your turn to answer the questions I asked of you.

As far as the latest story you are promoting by KPHO. What a bunch of no fact speculation it has turned out to be. Here are a few quotes from this no fact story of yours, which I find quit silly, to say the least.

How silly, channel 5 gets it’s quotes from goldwater members. But trust me, I’m not surprised one bit.

Your article says this, (“Byron Schlomach, chief economist at the conservative Goldwater Institute, said accounts like these that are outside the normal government banking system create questions in the minds of taxpayers. "There's definitely the appearance of impropriety when you are more or less hiding the funds from the public and county supervisors," Schlomach said.) Funds like this? Is Byron implying no other sheriff has funds like this? Of course he is. Yet in fact, it is a normal routine for a sheriff’s offices to have a separate fund like this to pay expenses. Exactly what is Byron implying when he said (“more or less hiding the funds from the public and county supervisors?” ) That is an out right lie, which this article proves. KPHO can get the withdrawal records of this account, but he county supervisor can not? This account is public record, no one is hiding anything, like Byron is more or less accusing Joe of doing, with no facts what so ever to prove his lies.

KPHO is even implying Joe bought a new bus just to have a new toy to play with, from this account. A bus they say, that was previously denied purchase by city officials. Previously maybe, but recently, was this bus approved? They never bother to mention that part of the story. Sorry KPHO, Joe doesn‘t play with prisoner transport busses. If Joe got one, it was because he needed it to handle all the criminals here. He didn‘t get a new bus to play with. I don’t think we will see Joe cruising around in this bus, nor will it be parked in Joe’s drive way.

The best part of this article, proves exactly who and what Byron and goldwater piss are all about. These next words of Byron, are just way to much, even a blind sheep should be able to see the bull crap in these next words of Byron. ("That's what we really need at all levels of government is full transparency where we see every expenditure," Schlomach said. "We know exactly what it's been used for. We know how it's been accounted for.")
For one, every penny spent in this account is public record. But now Byron is implying that all government agencies do exactly what Joe’s account does, provides proof of the money spent. When in reality, government funds are extorted everyday, by the system Byron is attempting to protect with his words. Hmm, how come Byron hasn’t mentioned the million in stimulus money being ripped off by government officials? Like the four million paid to Denver for voting districts that don’t even exists?

YES, the system and it’s officials are robbing the tax payers blind, Joe and this article has nothing to do with the real ripping off of tax payers, like goldwater is trying to blame Joe for. Isn’t it amazing how the corrupt system accuses the only honest politician we have as being corrupt? What a bunch of garbage system ran KPHO has posted here. Nothing but media spins and twists to protect it’s master. Sorry KPHO, this attempt to slander Joe for bucking the system that runs you, isn’t proof of anything, other than proof of who runs you and goldwater.

Remember,

KPHO and other medias, can pretty much say what ever they want to, and never be held liable for the lies they tell.

Remember, the true story lies within the words of deception. The truth is best seeing by what is never mentioned in their words.

Joe we know for a fact, hss no problem telling it like it is.

Simms: "Don't go telling some truth, or the preview of comment will be deleted, thank you channnel 5." Who do you think you're fooling? Your posts have a unique character.

Delusions are fact, but only to the person who has them. If you haven't had a psych eval, please do that for your own good. Your posts portray a very unhappy person, and maybe you can get help for that.

Your political views might not change, and that's fine, but maybe you can find some degree of happiness and not live such an angry, vindictive life that only leads to misery for you and others.

I am not trying to be cruel or even harsh, but I hope that you can move past your name-calling and address the facts. News organizations have reporters who investigate and seek confirmation before they publish stuff. That isn't true of people who just want to force their political agenda and their views on others.
